A partnership has sold half of the 36 lots at Enclave, a development of single-family homes in east Fort Lauderdale, and four of the homes are under construction.
Eighteen of the 36 lots have sold at prices from the $700,000s to $1.8 million. The lot sizes range from more than an acre to 17,000 square feet.
The partnership behind the Enclave project released the 36 lots for sale in April 2016.
The development site off Federal Highway and Northeast 38th Street in Fort Lauderdale is part of a 75-acre property formerly known as the American Golfers Club golf course.
A partnership formed in 2004 by real estate developer Terry Stiles and auto dealer Phil Smith, who died last year, acquired the Coral Ridge Country Club and expanded it by purchasing the adjacent American Golfers Club property, which formerly operated as a municipal golf course.
Stiles and the family of Smith are now advancing the Enclave development after delays related to permitting and expect the first residents to occupy their new homes in late 2018. [Sun-Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
