Edwards Cos. plans to start construction of the mixed-use Atlantic Crossing development in downtown Delray Beach by year-end and open the project’s office and retail space in 2019.
The developer expects a four-year build-out for Atlantic Crossing, which also will have 343 residential units along with 86,000 square feet of office space and 76,000 square feet of ground-floor spaces for retail stores and restaurants.
Columbus, Ohio-based Edwards plans to open the office and retail components of Atlantic Crossing in the fourth quarter of 2019, and the residences starting in 2020.
The Delray Beach development, expected to cost $250 million, has been a long time coming.
It took more than a decade to assemble nine-acre Atlantic Crossing development site, bounded by Federal Highway to the west and Veterans Park to the east. The development finally won city approval in June after eight years in design and review. [Multi-Housing News] – Mike Seemuth
